There is no doubt that the greatest hit this summer is the boardshorts. Just look around and you will see that there is almost no guy who does not wear such shorts- no matter if he is downtown, in the mall, or on the beach.
But just a few years ago, things were totally different. Board shorts for surfing were used for nothing else but surfing. Well, there were boys who used to wear them while playing volleyball on the beach also. Anyway, in general, guys wearing them in public could never be seen.
However, it is not surprising that there are lots of people who strongly disagree with the fashion trends and that one in particular. But wearing either a pair of jeans or pants (even if they are 7/8-sized) would be quite uncomfortable, especially in the hottest days. You probably know that it is really good when you have the freedom to choose among many items.
But talking about the advantages which they could provide a guy with requires mentioning the price also. Maybe, cheapness is one of the best things about the shorts, especially when the whole world has been hit by a severe finance crisis.
Fortunately, they will not have to do so since the shorts for surfing are the cheapest stuff they could find on the market. Just think about it- you will not need more than $50-$60 to buy five pairs of the shorts. Usually, that’s the price which a pair of jeans goes at! So, what would you prefer: purchasing just one pair of ordinary jeans/pants or getting 4-5 pairs of nice and colorful summer-looking board shorts? Yes, the answer is more than obvious!
Another advantage which they provide the guys with is the fact that they are very unlikely to see a guy wearing the same shorts. The explanation is very simple: they are offered in hundreds of colors, models, sizes and lengths- just think about what the chances of meeting somebody with the same shorts are. If you think that they equal zero, then you are right!
To sum up, board shorts for surfing is the best decision you could take. They are cheap, fashionable, offered in a great variety and could be worn nearly everywhere. What more could a guy require?
