Board shorts are definitely very attractive and beautiful. And probably, if you are a girl, you like looking at young and handsome boys wearing their board shorts and preparing to start surfing. Yes, you probably find it a nice view. But there is some hot and great news for you: the times when the board shorts were used just for surfing are in the past already.
Actually, the truth is that you doubtfully have found this news surprising. The reason is that the trend did not happen at once but quite gradually. Yes, I know that it sounds strange because when something becomes a trend, it is usually very unexpected and surprising but this is not our case. Probably, the reason is that this “trend” was not “invented” by the world’s top designers, which is kind of interesting, I think. Wearing board shorts not only on the beach but everywhere in public is an idea, a trend which was “delivered” by the teenagers themselves. You might remember that a couple of years ago, there were some guys wearing board shorts while walking around but they were considered to have “improper behavior”.
But does really wearing board shorts in public need to be considered immoral? It’s what some people of the older generations claim but I personally don’t think that there is something wrong with the board shorts. Just think about it: they are comfortable, which is really important, the most important actually. At the same time- guys do not show any parts of their bodies which are in the so called “private group”. So, what should be considered immoral or inappropriate?
Being honest with yourself, you will face the fact that a pair of board shorts looks pretty nice in reality. No, I am not crazy! You can find them in a great variety of colors and models which make your chance of choosing the right model much better. There is actually one important fact which you probably know but I feel obliged to mention: it is the length of the shorts. Basically, you can find them in two variations: 3/4 and 7/8. The first one can hardly cover a guy’s knees whereas the other length (7/8) covers the knees but is still above the ankles.
Hopefully, you have already figured it out that the board shorts are not taken as part of the surfer’s outfit. And they will probably never be considered that way again! So, if you are still one of the guys who do not approve the trend of wearing these shorts in public, you may have some unpleasant experiences this summer. Here is what I am talking about: firstly, you are unlikely to find something else because all shops and malls are “filled up” with them due to the high levels of interest and demand. Secondly, you would look very different from your friends as they all will probably follow the trend and last but not at least, you will probably have to spend much more money than the other guys because board shorts is one of the cheapest items you could possibly wear.
